I ‘m a Man

I am not a good man or a bad man, I am just a man ~ Kwai Chang Caine – David Carradine

This is a very poetic simple words describing what being humans are all about. There are 2 universal rules that we sometimes don’t really pay attention, it has been always been since the day the 1st day the law of physics exist. Positive and negative, we humans are also a part of that law

which makes each of us have that positive and negative in our human form. In Chinese, the Yin and the Yang will always be side by side at a balance. North opposite the South and as East opposite the West, each things has it opposite, low – high, dark – light, etc.

If a person wants to be a real bad man, that is impossible because the positive version of the person cannot be removed as it is only can be suppressed

If a person wants to be a real good man, that is also impossible as the negative version of the person cannot be removed as it is only can be suppressed

Each person has a good side and a bad side, depending on what the situation is effecting that person, either the good or the bad side will emerged, for example: your car was accidently crashed by another person’s car. The good side of you will try to settle peacefully, the bad side of you will try to settle not so peacefully. Each of that will also generate more particles of positive and negative.

Let’s make a scenario of "what if" using the above story:

  • Before you drive, you met this wonderful and beautiful lady ( and HOT ), the two of you had coffee together, then agreed on a date later on this week. After that you drive alone and you have a "happy thoughts" of the coming date. Suddenly a car hits you and made a scratch on your car. Your mood will make a difference on how you settle the problem.
  • Before you drive, you met this mean looking debt collector who has been asking you money for the past few days, and this morning you got bills on your mail. After that you drive alone and you have a "terrible thoughts" of the economy crisis. Suddenly a car hits you and made a scratch on your car. Your mood will make a difference on how you settle the problem.

Two things can generate four things, then the four can be eight and so on…

The 1st example can generate positive and negative particles. We don’t need to say anything about the positive as it is obvious. But lets say you think " Ah.. car scratch can be fixed later, its not so expensive, but I’ll pretend that this car is really-really important so I can ask him (the one who crashed) to pay me quite a sum of money to repair". Then you pretended to be so sad, and obviously you know what happen next :)

The 2nd example can also generate positive and negative particles. Obviously the power of the fist to the person who crashed will represent one of the negative particles. But what if you see.. that the driver of the car who crashed you was unconscious. So you take the driver to the hospital then out of nowhere you get a reward and a replacement cash to fix the car even to pay your debts and bills from the family of the driver who is actually a rich family.

A drug dealer, sells his drugs to everyone including kids, and uses the money to feed his family who doesn’t know that he is a drug dealer. Yes its a "sinful money", but look at the positive and negative side from within the drug dealer. He knows what he’s doing is bad, he even can kill for what he does but he knows he wont let his family starve.

These are just a few examples of many examples in real life with all of its complexity. Each stories can be different with many different outcomes and positive – negative particles.

Why can’t we get rid of our negative side? well we are humans and we need both of our positive and negative sides. As in the law of physics, negative can result to a positive outcome, and so is the other way, positive can result to negative. Wisdom is also one of the characteristic of human, where we can use wisdom to put where negative and positive should live in our life. We can’t get rid of our negative particles but that is also "No Excuse" for justifying what we do ;) what we can do is to suppress our negative side.

So.. in a brief word
Don’t try to be a good man
Don’t try to be a super man
Don’t try to be an evil man
Just be a man.
